FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions About Wellness Coaching
Thinking about working with a wellness coach? Here are some common questions we hear, designed to help you understand if coaching is the right step for you on your journey to a healthier, more vibrant life.
What is Wellness Coaching?
-
What exactly is wellness coaching? Wellness coaching is a collaborative partnership where we work together to identify your health and wellness goals, uncover obstacles, and create a personalized action plan to achieve lasting positive change. Unlike traditional therapy or consulting, coaching is forward-looking and client-led, empowering you to make sustainable shifts in your lifestyle, mindset, and habits.
-
How is wellness coaching different from therapy or seeing a doctor? While all three are valuable, they serve different purposes. Doctors diagnose and treat medical conditions. Therapists often focus on mental health issues, past traumas, and emotional healing. Wellness coaches are focused on the present and future, helping you set and achieve specific health and wellness goals, develop new habits, and overcome challenges through action-oriented strategies. We don't diagnose or treat conditions, but we support your overall well-being.
-
What areas of wellness do you focus on? I take a holistic approach to wellness. We can focus on various aspects including nutrition, fitness and movement, stress management, sleep improvement, mindfulness, energy levels, and developing a positive mindset. My goal is to help you create balance across all areas of your life for optimal well-being.

Who can benefit from wellness coaching? Anyone who feels stuck, overwhelmed, or simply wants to make positive changes to their health but isn't sure where to start can benefit! If you're looking for personalized support, accountability, and strategies to reach your wellness goals, coaching is for you. This includes those looking to establish healthier eating habits, increase physical activity, manage stress, improve sleep, or cultivate a more balanced lifestyle.
-
What can I expect during a coaching session? Our sessions are typically 45 minutes long and conducted via video call/phone call. Each session is a safe, confidential space where we'll discuss your progress, celebrate wins, explore challenges, and strategize next steps. You'll leave each session with clear actions to take, empowering you to move closer to your goals.
-
How long does a coaching program last, and how often do we meet? Coaching is a journey, not a quick fix. My typical programs range from 3 to 6 months to allow time for habit formation and sustainable change. We usually meet weekly or bi-weekly, depending on your needs and the program structure. We can discuss the best fit for you during your discovery call.
-
What's your coaching philosophy? My philosophy centers on empowerment, sustainability, and individualized support. I believe true wellness comes from within, and my role is to guide you in discovering your own strengths and solutions. I emphasize small, consistent steps, celebrate progress over perfection, and help you build habits that truly stick, long after our coaching relationship ends.
